Canada and BC cases continue to climb slowly. Canada added 2,706 cases and saw 35 deaths over the past week, and BC with close to 300 cases but we have had no deaths since the end of July.

Here is a graph that plots cases against deaths per capita. Early in the year you want to be on the lower left, however as infection has not been contained in most counties the best we can hope for is the upper left. As you can see Canada is in the middle.

Another depiction, Canada currently ranks 6th highest in case fatality rates.

And here is how BC compares.

The three new incidents reported in Burnaby care homes over the weekend should be a reminder, we still need to be vigilant in protecting our most vulnerable.
Cheers
