It might surprise you to know that according to Our World In Data, which has been providing graphical data insights since the start of the pandemic, Canada now has some of the most severe pandemic restrictions in the world! Up there with Kazakhstan and closing in on China.

With the coming of Omicron, most of the rest of the world is now backing off on their restrictions ( the UK for example is phasing out all domestic COVID measures), while here in Canada, especially in Quebec, we are going in the opposite direction.
Most of the world has heard little of Canada concerning our COVID measures during the pandemic until last week, when videos of brainwashed children on a talk show in Quebec went viral:
This is being talked about in other countries, but for some reason not here in Canada.
Here we are, coming out of a pandemic, yet this month Quebec added fines and restrictions on shopping for the unvaccinated, and the Federal government added restrictions on cross-border trucking ( Thought of the Day - January 25 2022 - Transport Disruption Setbacks ).
Unless we change our thinking, with the coming of spring we will not be able to shuck the burden of the pandemic after all.
