Thought of the Day - July 9 2021 - The Teletubbies Get Vaccinated

Updated: Jul 10, 2021

Just when you thought things could not get weirder, the Teletubbies, four humanoid creatures made popular by the BBCs children's TV show, took to Twitter earlier this week to share some "important news": They've been vaccinated, and they're ready for "a Tubby hot summer."

In a set of photos, Laa-Laa, Dipsy, Po, and Tinky Winky grip their "COVID-19 Vaccination Tubby Cards," which display information about their "tubby vaccines."

The cards conveyed that the Teletubbies had received two shots of "Noo-nson & Noo-nson", one on July 1, 2021, and another on July 22. Interesting they could get a second dose on a day that hasn't even happened yet. Even more strange, their birthdays are listed as Feb. 20, 2003, six years after they first appeared on Television. Moreover, the cards use the US date order not that of the UK, so maybe they were not local shots. Also, if "Noo-nson & Noo-nson" is a play on Johnson & Johnson - why two shots in the first place? Maybe this whole thing is just a play on the plethora of vaccination certificates people are attempting to use while travelling ( Thought of the Day - July 8 2021 - Vaccine Passports - Update ). Hey, these vaccination cards look legit to me.

Cheers

Cliff

P.S. Of course, there was concern if Teletubbies are susceptible to disease what about Noo-noo? Don't worry that was cleared up yesterday.
