The world continues to see significantly more new cases than people recovering.

This is reflected by the growing number of "Active" cases worldwide, now at ten million.

Canada is coming up on 215k total cases. As you can see with cases per capita, Quebec is still by far the province with the highest number of total cases, followed by Alberta and Ontario, then BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, finally the Atlantic Bubble and the territories.

New cases have shown up in all jurisdictions apart from Nunavut over the past week. Alberta's case count has increased over the past week, edging out Manitoba in new cases per capita.

As far as deaths are concerned, as Canada approaches 10,000 fatalities, Quebec continues to lead this as well. Manitoba is feeling the consequences of the significant outbreaks in the last couple of weeks. Ontario's numbers are now rising. Alberta is still doing fairly well (the higher number of cases is testament to more effective testing). Unfortunately New Brunswick had two more deaths of late. The rest of the Atlantic Bubble, Saskatchewan and the territories have fared well.

This week's shout-out goes to British Columbia. Despite not increasing restrictions, as the other populous provinces have done, our death rate remains fairly low.
Cheers
Cliff
