Canada's case rate continues to increase (and due to our limited outbreaks and testing, we cannot suggest that in Canada we have a "Case-demic" (Thought of the Day - September 3 - Are We Getting a Case-demic)):

The good news is our case fatality rate continues to decrease:

But of course as we got off to such a bad start we still have a way to go before we can say: if you were diagnosed with COVID you had a lower chance of dying in Canada than in the USA (and we are not even close to exemplars like Taiwan):

Despite our staggering recent uptick in cases (the dip on the right is just because our reporting people take the weekends off):

BC is still well below the other large provinces in cases per capita:

And due to this lower number of cases BC is ahead in deaths per capita as well:

This week's shout out goes to Quebec. They have bitten the bullet and introduced regional alert reporting:
