Thought of the Day - April 7 - BC Vaccination Registration

As people in this region know, yesterday BC relaunched online registration for a vaccine ( https://www2.gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated.html ). While the site says "People 71+ and Indigenous peoples 18+ can register to get vaccinated" again they did not put any checks in the system and so anyone can now get registered ( Thought of the Day - March 10 - BC Vaccine Registration Underway ).
This comes on top of the announcement last week that anyone 55-65 should contact their nearest pharmacy to get an AstraZeneca shot ( https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/plan ). This is still valid, but for some reason it is not mentioned on the Get Vaccinated page referenced above.
So here is a summary of the current vaccination registration process at the moment. Forget the year you were born bit, this just adds confusion. If you are currently:
71 or older - Register on the GetVaccinated site, By Phone or at a Service BC Office. You can set up an appointment right away.
66 to 70 - Register on the GetVaccinated site, you will be contacted concerning an appointment later in April.
55 to 65 - Contact your local pharmacy to set up your appointment to get AstraZeneca.
18 to 54 - Register on the GetVaccinated site, you will probably be contacted in May/June concerning your appointment.
Less than 18 and not high risk - You can try to register on the GetVaccinated site but there is no ETA for appointment scheduling.
High-risk people sixteen or over, and Indigenous (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) peoples 18 and over, can use GetVaccinated, Phone or a Service BC office to get fast-tracked.
Also, you are allowed to register someone else.
Finally, I have heard from friends that if you are a primary caregiver (meaning living at the same address) you may also be able to get vaccinated if you accompany them and there is spare vaccine available on the day.
Cheers
Cliff
