An "air bridge" is essentially a route between two countries where the COVID-19 outbreak is under control. Only direct flight are allowed and restrictions still apply for terrestrial travel through intervening countries. In this way, by mutual agreement, the need for quarantine can be avoided. It has been reported that the US and UK are looking to establish an "air bridge" between New York and London. So while US travellers to the UK need to quarantine for two weeks people travelling between these two cities will not longer need to. Wait, What?
Sounds to me in this case the term "air bridge" is just a euphemism for a backdoor allowing the rich and famous to travel without restriction.
Cheers
