I know, I know, but I could not resist. Come on in and see a few choice examples of how the patrons of Walmart have been masking-up this season.
Whatever you have to hand: Or all prepped up:

All natural: Or all sanitary:

Copying the past:

Or ready for the future:

On a more serious note, a friend was asking, how well do the masks we are wearing really prevent COVID-19? My answer, most don't work that well at all. Thus if you are in a high-risk group (exposure or health-wise) you must wear properly fitted surgical-grade masks. But for many of us this is not really the point.
The advantage of masks, any mask, is they give your body a better fighting chance. With a mask on you may get infected but the level of virus introduced into your body will be lower. And what does this mean? Well, it gives your body a better fighting chance, as well as a lower probability that your body will overreact (a cytokine storm). Why you might ask? Well, exponential growth. The less you start with, the longer it will take to "explode" - giving your body way more time to get prepared. In short, wear a mask and your chances of asymptomatic COVID is much better. Keep wearing a mask and your chances of giving your loved ones a killer dose of COVID is lower. Pretty obvious to me.
Cheers
