So here we are with Saskachewan, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and now PEI all walking away from their use of vaccine passports and by definition any associated vaccine mandates as they put pandemic thinking behind them. On the other hand, the Federal government and BC are actually getting more entrenched ( Thought of the Day - February 21 2022 - BC Sends Mixed Message on COVID Measures ).
Now the province of Alberta has launched a court challenge against the federal government's invoking of the Emergencies Act, as "unnecessary," "disproportionate" and that it "violated natural justice." And the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) announced last week that it also plans to sue the federal government over its decision to invoke the Emergencies Act in response to ongoing protests and blockades.
In short, all this has nothing to do with the global pandemic anymore. We now have a major political and ideological crisis on hands. Couple this with our growing financial crisis - inflation now at a 30-year high and a compensating increase in interest rates could trigger business and personal bankruptcies, and it is easy to see that our residual pandemic issues pale in comparison.
Cheers

"Less than 24 hours after defending the need to keep all the emergency powers he had granted his own government, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dropped every single last one."
Maybe we can move ahead as one.
