Thought of the Day - March 23 2021 - Cherry Blossom Season

Yes, Cherry Blossom season is here again. Whether this flower of the spring represents the fleeting nature of life, means a time of renewal, or characterizes love and the female mystique, they are not to be missed.

It was a year ago when Nelson passed along this wonderful picture.

Closer to the water the blossoms are in full swing but here in Burnaby they are just getting started so you have not missed anything, yet.

Here is a map of the neighbourhood showing a couple of spots you may wish to include, while getting your daily dose of Vitamin D, on your next walk.

I took this picture on Dalebright today.

This photo from the past shows how these blossoms will develop, eventually becoming Vancouver's springtime snow.

While the festival may be virtual this year, these beautiful blossoms are very real.
