The "western world" is still the epicentre of this pandemic. Asian and African countries by and large are still seeing dramatically lower numbers than the Americas and Europe. Countries across western Europe have now announced they are going back into lockdown.
Here is the chart of the countries we talked about last week.
Cases per capita:

Fatalities per capita:

and subsequent case fatality rate (CFR):

This past week has not been good for Canada concerning case numbers we are now well over 225k cases and 10k deaths). Manitoba, Quebec and Alberta are still competing for the highest case numbers per capita.

That said, it is Manitoba and Quebec who are feeling the issue in terms of an increasing number of deaths.

And across Canada hospitalizations continue to increase but still nowhere near the first wave.

Even the Yukon has announced two new cases, and they have had their first death.
This week's shout out goes to Nova Scotia. The enterprising folk down-east were pushing to extend the Atlantic Bubble to include Cuba. Good for them, we need more folk thinking out-of-the-box to get us through these tough times.
Cheers
Cliff
