Thought of the Day - September 16 - Attractions Revisited

Less than a month ago, I suggested that you take the opportunity to visit your favourite attraction around town before the summer ended (Thought of the Day - August 24 - Attractions Open for - Business). Wow, how the picture has changed. The Aquarium and Capilano Suspension bridge are now closed to the public, the PNE had to petition the Federal Gov't for a bailout, and Science World was in the press talking about layoffs.
The reason is simple, there is no business. Science World is seeing only 13% of its usual attendance, Capilano 25%, the Vancouver Art Gallery 30%, Van Deusen Gardens 18% and the list goes on.
This week I had the good fortune to visit the Railway Museum in Revelstoke - amazing. Despite not being able to scramble through a couple of the "cars", it was one of the best visits ever:
No crowds;
Great customer services and support;
You could appreciate the commitment and pride the management, staff and railway club had put into the COVID practices, notices and hygiene;
Oh and did I mention - no crowds!
So the appeal goes out one more time. If you have a favourite or an attraction you have always wanted to visit, do it now or you may find you are forever holding your peace.
Cheers
Cliff
P.S. And sorry to see the Sea to Sky Gondola was sabotaged again - while not a surprise it is a shame.
