Well, physical distancing and border restrictions or no, the movie industry is back in full swing here in Hollywood North as part of Phase 3 reopening.
The fourth season of The Good Doctor was supposed to start shooting early in August but this was suspended on July 31st due to "an issue with COVID-19 testing". It seems that BC balked at providing testing three times a week for those on set, and weekly for the outside crew, when our test centres were busy enough with cases ramping up.
It seems that we have acquiesced, and filming starts today. As most of you have heard, or saw in the leaflet, a scene from The Good Doctor will be filmed right here in the hood. The season four opener is supposed to focus on COVID, but see if you can spot the front door "tag exchange" between Claire and Donald Sulkin in Episode 2. That said, the air date for Season Four has not yet been announced.
Cheers
Cliff
P.S. If you head down to Piper Spit you start to get an appreciation of the size and scope of production.
