Thought of the Day - September 9 - By the Numbers

Updated: Jul 30, 2021

Cases in Canada have continued to rise in recent weeks.

Canada is the yellow line under Cameroon at a little over 3% increase in cases in the past week.

Canada's Case Fatality Rate continues to improve; although we are still on the top 20 list.

Here are the more detailed figures for Canada.

Unlike the spring, now Alberta, Manitoba and BC are the provinces with new cases counts above the national average.

The growth in cases in BC over the past month is easy to see.

And BC test rates are less than half of the Canadian average and far below the other large provinces so it is unlikely we are seeing a "Case-demic" (Thought of the Day - September 3 - Are We Seeing A "Case-demic").

This weeks shout out goes to the Atlantic Bubble - still the safest place across the provinces.

Cheers
