Thought of the Day - August 3 2021 - Butterflies

As some of you may have seen, at the end of last week around 1,000 butterflies took flight at seniors living and care homes in BC's lower mainland and the Island memorializing the 1,033 people who died from COVID-19 while in community care. Moreover, to also acknowledge those who survived.

The butterfly release symbolized rebirth and transition. Twenty-four long-term care and independent living operators are participating in Friday’s Butterfly Release event. The sites were located in Abbotsford, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Port Coquitlam, Qualicum Beach, Richmond, Sidney, Surrey, Vancouver and West Vancouver.

So when you see a butterfly while you are next out walking, please remember those who have passed, and celebrate your loved ones that are still with you.
