Thought of the Day - December 21 2021 - The Shortest Day of the Year

I guess today is not technically the shortest day, it is just that the Winter Solstice has the shortest number of potential hours of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere.

So what does this mean? Well, first it should be a reminder that this is the time of year when you are most likely to have a Vitamin-D deficiency ( Thought of the Day - November 4 2021 - Your Annual Vitamin-D Reminder ).

Moreover, it is also the best time to see the Christmas lights proudly displayed by friends and neighbours. Less daylight, more viewing time. So time to get ahead of the Christmas-week rush and have a look around.

Again this year, here in the 'hood' the DuPlessis family on Burnlake have outdone themselves ( Thought of the Day - January 21 - One More Chance ). We walked by their place last Friday and took a couple of pictures. Each year the display gets bigger and bigger!

And just in case, with all of the COVID news to report and the COVID restrictions to respect, we do not get a chance to wish all y'all a festive season's greetings - Season's Greetings from Gail and me.

Cheers

Cliff
