Thought of the Day - May 18 - BC Is Moving Forward

In case you missed it, last week health officials launched a province-wide survey to help gather feedback from the public. The survey, called "Your story, our future," will be open until May 31 to all British Columbians who are 18 and older. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. The overview mentions a vague "beginning of summer" timeline for follow-up.
While I am not a big fan of "opinion polls", the great news comes at the end. BC's CDC is following up with two important initiatives:
A serology survey (blood testing) to help determine immunity across the population (I think this means antibody testing);
Planning for future waves in which identifying, containing, and tracing are substantially strengthened through technology tools to enable integrated and coordinated information sharing (I think this means seeding a tracking/tracing database or app);
Here is the link to the survey introduction page: http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/covid-19-survey
While initiatives like this should be a prerequisite to re-opening and should also have received the same level of press attention, at least this is a step in the right direction.
Cheers
Cliff

I have already taken the survey.
Please seriously consider doing so as well
