Thought of the Day - October 1 2021 - Max to the Max

I have written about Max several times on this blog ( Thought of the Day - March 26 2021 - Max's Anniversary ). Max, now 11, started camping out in his backyard to raise money for charity about the same time as I started this blog. And guess what? Like this blog, he is still going strong.

To be fair that is about all we have in common. While at best I might have raised awareness of some of the issues surrounding COVID, in contrast, he has raised over £560,000 (basically one million dollars) for the Devon Hospice! And also, unlike the blog, he never takes a day off. While this is the blog's 480th installment, he has been camping outside for 530 nights now, including an honorary camp out at Number 10.

For his anniversary, back in the spring, even the world's longest-running comic, Beano, got into the act. Promoting his "Big Campout".

Way to go Max! Can't wait to see what you and Digby might be up to for your next anniversary.
