Guess what?
Another Cruise Ship in trouble ( Thought of the Day - November 17 - Test Accuracy ):
A Royal Caribbean cruise liner has returned to Singapore early, after a passenger tested positive for COVID-19 on the third day of a four-day cruise to nowhere. “One guest aboard Quantum of the Seas tested positive for coronavirus after checking-in with our medical team,” said a Royal Caribbean spokesman in Miami;
The cruise line said Quantum of the Seas returned to port “in accordance with government protocols” and the 1,680 passengers would leave the ship “after a review of contact tracing is completed”;
Just last week Royal Caribbean resumed these short cruises to nowhere as part of a "safe cruising programme" announced in October by the Singapore Tourism Board;
Remarkably Royal Caribbean has said this week's cruise, scheduled to depart on today, will still go ahead.
Another Mink farm in trouble ( Thought of the Day - November 9 - Mink Again in the Headlines ):
The number of mink farms across Canada has dwindled from several hundred in 2017 down to around 60 today;
Mink farms in British Columbia are concentrated in the Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver;
Officials have declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at a mink farm in the Fraser Valley after eight people with connections to the site tested positive for the disease last week;
There are around 15,000 mink on this farm and more than 200 of them have already died from COVID-19;
Thus the mink farm has been ordered to restrict the transport of its animals, products and goods;
On the positive side I understand November/December is actually "mink culling season" . . .
Cheers
Cliff

A second BC Fraser Valley mink farm has had an outbreak. 23 mink died there in the past week.
